Hi, I'm a new member just wanted to stop in and introduce myself to you.  My name is Pidge (Linda), and I live in Ontario Canada.  I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2003.  Was on Metformin but am now on insulin Humilin 30/70.  I also suffer from COPD and am on home oxygen, I also have Fibromyalgia.  Never rains but boy when it pours.  Looking forward to getting to know you all and it's nice to know I have a haven to come to when I need to talk about my diabetes.  See you on the boards.

Pidge

Welcome Pidge. I'm Saphire and I live in Quebec Canada.I'm a long time diabetic. I take insulin 4 times a day and have too many problems to mention, However I am a breast cancer survivor of 1 and half years. I go everywhere by myself , I have problems walking due to arthritis and I am not looking forward to winter. We get so much snow and If I fall down in it I can't get up by myself. It's nice to have you join us and I look forward to your posts. Take care.

Hi Pidge. I'm Judy. My husband has been a diabetic type 2 for about 10 years. He was non compliant and as a result had quadruple bypass 5 years ago, A painless heart attack last Oct and multiple drug reactions to the point of being classed by the dr as frail. We all thought he was dying. Monthly emergency trips, multiple drs but it turned out to be a drug reaction which we found when he had to come off the drugs for tests. (after the heart attack he did take the pills and insulin) He now takes only insulin in the day. His family all have strange reactions to drugs.
I have fibromyalgia and understand how it is. Welcome to our caring community.

Hello Pidge.  Welcome to the group here.   I have had type 2 diabetes for over 25 years, I am taking lantus and humalog.  Like most of the others here I have several other medical problems that require medication. I hope you will enjoy the group here.  We love to welcome new members.
