and she sounded so good! She's getting her strength back and feeling better every day. She has a doc appointment today with her PCP and one tomorrow with the oncologist. I'm going to give her a call tomorrow evening and will let you know how she made out. She also mentioned she had been having some computer problems but her son-in-law worked on it for 2.5 hours and hopefully it will be back up and running so she can get online. Karen |

I had talked to Tammy yesterday afternoon. Daysee had woken up and Tammy wanted me to say HI to her as she held the phone to her ear. I told her that I loved her and that all her friends were praying for her and that she had to keep fighting. In a very weak tone, she told me she loved me too and she would try her best. I called Tammy a few minutes ago and she said to tell everyone that Daysee is slowly improving. She is still weak, but she is awake and somewhat alert. I believe in the power of prayer.............so keep them coming. Tammy said she would be in touch with me later today and then I will give you all an update. Karen |

oh Karen,,, I got tears knowing that you got to speak to her and that she responded now to you and Tammy.... I KNOW you brought her comfort and I hope she realizes how much we all love her and are praying for her now... I too believe in the power of prayer because I have seen it do many things.. strengthen those who just don't think they can do it anymore and bring comfort to those who need it... thank you Karen for getting such a personal message through to Daysee..... and yes, there is power in prayer, positive energies when they are directed toward a person in their hour of need. I know our Daysee will feel them all and I agree with Kathy.... Good Morning Here's the latest update from Tammy as of yesterday. Daysee's doctor came in and told the family that the cancer is spreading (as they knew) and that it has spread to her kidneys. Dialysis is an option but would only prolong things and that is not what Daysee wants. When asked how long she may have, the doctor said in some patients it could be 2 days, or 2 weeks, or longer. He is not optimistic that she will leave the hospital, but if she did, she would have to go to either a nursing facility or to her daughter's house. I had hoped to get to talk to her yesterday but she was sleeping on & off most of the day. Tammy will touch base with me some time today, and when she does, I will give you another update. I did not get to connect with Tammy yesterday, but our friend Tim did. She is doing okay. The doctor came in and asked her where she wanted to go........to a nursing facility or to her daughter's house. She has chosen to go to Tammy's house. If all goes well with her, she may be released in a couple of days. Karen |
