My husband is using them. He finds it no problem at all. he says he can't feel it. he uses a small needle on it. they have different size needles. He uses size 6 (it says 32g). novopen neddles. The dr gave a prescription for another size but  the pharmacy were able to change it to the other size.
Hope all goes well and other tell you more. Take care.

I use no#8 and I take my injections in my tummy virtually painless. Just stay away from taking them in the legs. Good luck.  Saphire

I agree its bit more painful in the legs, and its at an awkward angle. I have little hands and its hard for me to push it threw and then reach up and push it in...same for the arms. Its so much easier in the tummy.
