Welcome to the group, Jake.   My dh and I have been married 54 years also.  He is also diabetic.   I know that caring for you wife and home doesn't leave you a lot of free time but I hope you will post when you can.  I have been a type 2 diabetic for about 27 years.   Now on insulin.    I hope you will consider moving with us to the new group when MSN closes this site.

Welcome Jake. I also was a caregiver for 7 months for my husband who is diabetic. It takes a lot out of you no matter how much you care. I'm glad you can join us and post as you are able. We are here for you. Hugs

Hello Jake remember me Saphire. we used to belong to another group and you just disappeared from the group. A lot of the members missed your sense of humor. I hope you and your wife enjoy a good life. God Bless you both.
I remember your cartoon about a man forgetting to remove his depends and  his wife giving him heck because it soaked  up all the water in the swimming pool. Take care..
