hi,
Last time I went to the doctor my regular pcp, or gemeral prac. who takes care of my diebete's i told him in no ucertian way i could afford all of these pills i was taken, He said hang on for a minute and his nurse came in and said come back the next day or call her and they would give me some samples.  When she said that I figured was it worth it. maybe a few weeks worth but I went along with it. They ended up giving me 6 months worth. I was so grateful. Now i am ready to call or when I go in the next time I will say to them what about others, I am not saying i can do that for ever but it is sometimes well worth the asking.
I take alot of meds , I also have a siesure disorder, so along with diebete's .  We do have insurance but most all my med's were a 5 dollar copay, which was great. then last year his insurance went up and they all became 10 dollar copay, which still was good to me. but the ones i take are or were 20.00 now even the 10 dollar ones i was taking all became 25.00. I called his health provider the prescription part of it and they said that was just the way it was.
I am not complaining but sometimes it is a struggle trying to get the med's .  so I guess my thoughs is ask your doctor the next time u visit he just may be able to help

Tammie,

A doctor who won't cooperate with the forms should be taken out behind the barn and have the DAYLIGHTS BEATEN OUTTA THEM!  COMPLETELY OUTRAGEOUS!

This is no "skin off them" either way... the only possible excuse could be lazieness... or apathy... or both!  Argggg, this just makes me see red... these programs are there for those who need them... they are seldom abused... and if any industry could afford a few freebies it the pharmacutical companies.  If they ( the pharmacuticle companies ) are willing to make these life saving medications available who is a doctor to stand in the way?!?  I would be writing the Board of Medical Quality Assurance and complaining as loudly as I could... in fact if you post your doctor's name we all could write in and tell him/her what an a** we think he/she is... well maybe not the politically correct thing to do... but it's very aggrivating ya know?
