Hi, I have been a member for quite some time but have never posted to your site. I just got my test results back. Can anyone explain or help me understand them.
My insulin level was 19 mlU/L. It says it needs to be 3-17 mlU/L
I also have coronary heart disease. my total cholestrerol level is 214. it has a bunch of breakdowns in here too. Triglycerides-direct is 116
non-HDL Cholesterol (LDL+VLDL) is 160
total apoB 100-calc is 109
Lp(a) cholesterol is 5.0
IDL cholesterol is13
LDL-R (Real)-C is 120
sum total LDL-C is 138
Remnant Lipoproteins IDL + VLDL3 is 25
say consider Insulin Resistance/Metabolic Syndrome
Lilpid Risk Factors (small dense LDL, elevated TG, low HDL)
I dont quite understand all of this yet. Any help? thanks
