Would you laugh if I scored 52%. For those who don't know I live in Australia. A few observations. I pronounce Aunt as Arnt. Pajamas as pu jar mes The crayfish ? A crayfish comes from the sea (big & expensive) A yabbie lives in creek beds and rivers. Small and tastes like mud. Q.17 What's it called when you throw toilet paper over a house. ROFL! My answer: A waste of toilet paper. Never heard of it. 52% Dixie Right on the Mason - Dixon line. Regards Holly |

What a lot of fun..... As an aside, my hubby and I grew up about 200 miles apart, but both in PA - we argue all the time over things like POP vs. SODA and shopping BUGGY (him) vs. shopping CART (me) He also has stupid names for the TV remote (clicker) and turning signals (blinkers) - he a western PA person, and I am a central PA person with northern PA parents...so even those of us in the same STATE may be very different! According to this quiz, I am 36% Yankee..... Thanks for posting it! |

49% Dixie! This is great--I live just south of the Mason-Dixon line, in Maryland, but I'm just a little Yankee! I've never lived anywhere but the south (Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland)!!! Funny! |

I am new here, being diagnosed type 2 just a month &1/2 ago. This was my first stop in the Group. I am 75% Yankee. That makes sence, grew up in MA and live in upstate NY. The other 15% must have been from my southern friend influence! This was fun...Thank you |

Do you know where the name yankees comes from? It came into use when the Dutch were in charge long time ago. They were the first settlers after the Indians of course. Two boys names were Jan and Kees ( still in use in Holland today.) English origin people started to call the Dutch Jankees to indicate a certain part of the country. That did change over time to Yankees or Yankee. JB.an original Yankee. |
