I recently switched from Lantus to Levemir. I did have to take more units of the Levemir but I don't get the swelling and bloating I was getting on Lantus. I do think I might have to split my Levemir dose into two doses instead of only one though. Will of course consult my endo before doing that. I just feel much better on the Levemir as opposed to the Lantus but everyone is different. Marge |

I started on Levemir on Jan. 10 replacing Novo-ngh also added novo rapid to meal times. How's the levemir working for you now that you have been on it for a while? |

Levemir is working slowly, having to take bigger doses and split them into one after supper and one in the morning. Still working on the right combo.

Thanks Marge. I am finding it a long path to the correct, high enough dose with Levemire, but I am feeling so much better and my stomach issues seem to be settling. Cheers, Norma |

I take Levemir and like it better than Lantus. I take it in 2 doses, morning and night because one dose does not seem to last. I have no side effects from it and yet if I miss a dose (shot) I notice my blood sugar climbing. So important not to forget..... |
