Hi all, just needed to talk to people that maybe know what I am going through. Dave (Hubby) and I have been ttc for over 2 years Well, the doc did all the tests and said BOTH of us are fine! Well my ?? was why are we not pregnant then. He said it could be my diabetes. So, they put me on clomid to see if that would help. He said they don't know why but some woman that are diabetics never can conceive and they dont know why. Has anyone been on clomid, did it work for you? What side effects did you have? I want a child of my own so badly! I just dont know now if this will happen for Dave and I. I can't stand to hear of friends that are pregnant, getting invited to baby showers just breaks my heart. I tend to send a gift with my regrets for not going. Most of my friends know why I am not there, but it is just so hard! ANyone else here going through this??? Tami |

I was on clomid befor and the only thing it did was make my cycles nor but it dose work but give it some time I am part of a msn group that can help in giving some suport , just keep the lines of communication open with you Dr. and keep your sugers under control because that is what mess with your chances of trying to concieve, I am Inslin Resistan type diebetic and I have to keep my sugers in check now even more because mine loves to drop under 60 mabe in the 40's All for Maybe Baby Trying to concieve is the name of the group |

Hi Tami, Sorry, I don't have any experience with Clomid either. I'm not sure what it is. I just know that my OB/Specialist told me it was crucial to have my sugars under control. How are your sugars? My target was to have them below 90 before breakfast and under 130 after meals and I had to have tight control for at least 6 months before I got pregnant to ensure a healthy pregnancy. I wish you the best of luck. Michelle |
