Anyone else having problems getting five boxes of infusion sets at a time?  We always have been able to have five.  I only order every six months.
Now they are saying the HMO will only send four.
Someone in the group I manage said they only got four in their starter box.
I thought it was always five?

I get my infusion sets from Liberty.  They say that my insurance will allow me 4 boxes every 3 months.  But I don't need that many.  So I just order small quantities when I need them.  I just ordered 2 boxes even though I don't really need them because if I wait until January I will have to pay my deductible for them ($250 a year deductible insurance policy).

Did you ever get five?
I always ordered five because that was the starter amount and that is what they always covered?

My insurance used to allow 3 boxes every 3 months.  That would allow a set change every 3 days.  Then about a year or two ago they upped it to 4 boxes every 3 months.  But I usually get less than that.  I've never gotten more than 4 at a time, and very rarely that many.

Very odd.  I always ordered five boxes of sets, and five of cartridges and they always sent them.  Even six months ago.
Now Animas tells me they will pay for them every three months. If this is true, I ought to just use my benefits and stash them, because I dont necessarily come close to using that many up.
It's a little odd, because my starter kit in 2000 all the way through January 2006 has always allowed for five.
Oh well.

Insurance is always changing the rules.  Just try to use it to the best advantage you can.
