Just continuing the discussion from the July 3rd blood sugar thread:

Julie, yes, I really wish they came out with an orange too.  Just some kind of 'warm' colour.  I have red hair, blue eyes, so I'm very fair and tend to wear a lot of warm and light colours; the blue, purple and even the smoke were all too dark for me.  That's why I was wondering what those skins were all about.  Right now the only place you can get them is from Minimed.  I have to call to get the price and I hear they are on the expensive side.  And I think there is a minimum order amount too.  Yet it would be a way to change the colour yourself.

Take care
Chris

I wonder if your local Minimed rep could come up with a skin for you to try.  I was just talking with some other Minimed users on another diabetes board I go to and we were saying how generous the reps are when you go to one of their classes or see them at a meeting.  The last time I saw my rep, she gave me a pump clip (since mine had broken), some sample sets, a carb counting book (that cool one with all the fast food places in it), and a cute Wizard stuffed doll (for Bolus Wizard, get it?).  She told me the doll was for my grandchildren.  Uh.....I ignored her mistaken impression that I am old enough to have grandchildren.......lol

Yes, I am an autumn, and I wear warm colors.  Orange and rust and browns and beiges, navy blue and also light sky blue.  But the blue of that pump is off the deep end!  It is like a glow-in-the-dark bug!  Although a man my age on that other board just got the blue and loves it.  I never wear purple.

Maybe if enough of us "warm tone" people request it, they will make a warmer color.

Julie

OK, I have red hair and blue eyes and I adore the blue!
My first MM was teal, and when it broke I asked for a blue one and got it.
Then my Animas was black, and when it broke I asked for blue and got it.
My newest pumps are blue, and now that I think I am getting a Cozmo, I guess I can have blue, green or black.
The IR 1000 Animas was the best deal because they had the pump covers, which came in different colors.  I got quite a few for free, and had some pretty snazzy stuff going on there!
