I guess they are giving one free backup pump with pump purchase of their new Spirit pump.
I checked out the virtual pump on the website.  I dont know, it seems the type is again very small.
I dont expect to have that problem with the Cozmo, but am buying the Cozmo sight unseen if all goes well.
Anyway, supposedly this is the current offer on the new Spirit pump.

I'm really looking forward to the Cozmo.  Just getting nervous waiting.
It would be easier for me to call my endo's office and say please get the paper signed for my new pump, but I have to wait on the insurance person from Cozmo.  After that, he said he has to wait until my warranty is actually up before applying with the HMO for my new pump.
I hate the waiting!

I honestly would NEVER go with another Accu-Chek (used to be disetronic) pump, even if they gave one to me free of charge.
The spirit pump will shut itself down at 6 years (nothing more than a expensive door stop. And the Back up pump ONLY lasts for 180 days (6 months or 26 weeks).
You can get ALL the specs on the Cozmo that it takes the PDA and the pump to do with the Accu-Chek Spirit Insulin pump.
I used to use a Disetronic insulin pump (Disetronic Htron+) which thankfully has a full 2 years left on it to use (it was replaced just before I got my Cozmo, and I have not had to use it since, and it has almost been 4 years.. 4 years next month.. 28, Aug, that is)

Yeah, Disetronic (now AccuCheck) gives a back-up pump for you to have on hand in case anything happens. Luckily I've never had to use mine.
