My day was started by a phone call informing me I had been approved for the pump. It will be a purple minimed paradigm real-time. I am anxious, after 40 years of daily injections, and nervous about the pump at the same time.
I never thought it would be this soon as my doctor suggested it my last visit the end of June, I had blood work done the 2nd of July, and then doctor had to fill out paper work and blood results and send it  all in. So approx. a month for everything. Now they will be sending me the pump and after I recieve it I inform them and they will set up the training.
Wish me luck, I sure will need all I can get~~~~~~~Kandy

Good luck with your new pump Kandy. After you get your rates set, I'm sure that you'll be asking yourself why you waited so long like I did.

Congradulations!!!!!!!  I love my pump and don't know what I ever did without it.  Only have to go back in and get it set for my night shift schedual.  Scared to go in cause I know I'll get yelled at.  It's been 6 months over due.

Well.....I got my pump Monday the 30th. My Novolog for it on Tuesday and now go in for my first training class the 9th.
Just reading through the book on it, makes me wonder if I will be smart enough to handle it . After 40 years of injections it will be teaching an old dog new tricks!!
Friday I went and got glasses, had script for them since Nov., and finally was able to get them. This is my first time to be wearing glasses.  At least I can now read screen on pump, btw..its name is Priscilla.
So Priscilla and a pair of glasses, in a week. My oh my!!
Wish me luck~~~~~~Kandy

Kandy, congrats on the new pump and glasses. You'll be fine. I know you can work it.
