I keep twisting..turning over my ankles. Both of them (not at the same time, but you know what I mean)....should I make an appt. w/ my foot doc..and will he take xrays to let me know what's going on with them. I've always had "weak" ankles...but nothing like this lately. For instance, last summer I twisted my ankle just walking through my daughter's living room...it was swelled and black and blue for a very long time..course I wouldn't go to the doc..."it's nothing I kept saying to my SO..it'll go away"....well now last week (Easter Sunday matter of fact) I was out in the driveway at my daughter's playing basketball w/ family and twisted my left ankle (same ankle as a year ago)....so we ended up going in and playing cards the rest of the night....then yesterday, while walking through the park with Nate and Dougie...before my other daughters and 3 of my grandbabies got there...twisted my right ankle. Dang is it sore...like an ache...I can walk on it, but it's touchy...and I'm scared of twisting it again. What I think I'm wondering is if in the past maybe I've stress fractured my foot/ankle and now it just twists over easily....and would a foot doc have the xray equipment right there...or would I have to go over to the emergency room to have it xrayed after sitting 2 hours at the foot doctor..sit some more at the hospital?...lol...dumb question I know...but I HATE going to the hospital, especially when I'm not sick..and sitting there for 7 hours...just wondering what's going on with my ankle's before I break something!!!!!!
What do you all think?
When I worked at Subway years ago (even before diagnosis) my toes hurt and the ball of my foot...could barely walk on it...after about 3 days of it, my daughter took me up to the hospital after work and come to find out I had what they called a stress fracture just behind 2 of my toes...must have kicked a pickle bucket or something...lol...the only thing we could think of....
Just want some opinions...thanx!
