There has been some documented evidence that cinnamon can be helpful.  It's yummy, so I figure it can't hurt much.  I use it in my coffee and on apples.  But NEVER as a substitute for medication!  The best and truly ONLY stratagy the I would employ is taking your  doctor's advice.  There are no ways around sound medical treatment and good glucose control.  If you enjoy the taste of herbs as seasonings or teas, take them in moderation, as in all things.  And always make sure that any treatment you want to try is approved by your doctor.  Hugs!  sheryl

I have been using cinnamon for several years and it seems to help as my b.s. are usually around 80- 130 even if I over eat, I hurry and get back on my diet as I have to be very careful as my eyes are affected and bleeding of the retina is bad.
I have found the NO white-No sugar diet is best for me,and I try to follow it to the best of my ability.   Autumn1929
