Hi Peg and welcome to the group!!! So very happy you introduced yourself to the group!!! Perhaps more folks would have seen it on general,, but we are just glad you jumped right in!

You've been a diabetic almost as long as I have!!! Amazing how things have changed since we were first diagonized,, isn't it??? Thank God things have improved as much as they have~~~ Still have a long way to go,,, but I'll take improment any day!

Hope we hear from you often,,,, just look around and any thread you feel like replying to,,, just jump right in!

Or if you have a concern/question or suggestion,,, just start a new thread! More people will respond in general on the general board,,, but it is nice to post things here too!

Welcome again and hope you feel like part of the family already! Lots easier to take the daily stuff with friends who have been there and walked the same path.

Hi all
Im new to this group and Ive been diabetic for 30 years now. I was diagnosed when I was 12 1/2 years old. I was naive' and didnt understand why all of a sudden I cudnot eat whatever I wanted. Oh, by the way, Im type 1, but my body acts like a type 2 that needs insulin. I have a pump now since 1999 and enjoy that more than the shots 2x a day.
I am happy I found a site that I can chat with other diabetics.
