I have diabetics, on insulin,   and also have a problem controling my urine.  So I wear pads all the time.   Now for the last several months, My Urine from the pads have the most unusual smell.     Just wondering if this is from diabetics or what. |

It could be from the diabetes or the medications you are on.  or a combo of both or some underlying problem have you talked to you doctor about this.    Nancy |

Hi Barb ... have you eaten any asparagus ?  This will make one's urine smell of cats pee ! Well only in about 10 % of the population ... I'm one of them.        Peace |

Very high sugar levels can give the urine a sweet, flowery odor. Bar |

thanks,   that is what I was concerned about.    And now I am really going to check my sugar and the odor.          thanks again    and I will discuss with my doc.    i also thought it might have been some meds i am on, but then, the sugar makes sense to me |

You probably should check your ketones, that's the flowery sweet smell that comes from very high blood sugar.  I hope you're feeling better now. |
