I have been diabetic for 31 years and sometimes I am low, < 30 and don't feel anything. I do believe that the rate in which my blood sugar drops has a lot to do with me feeling it. If I am going low, slowly, I don't usually feel it, but if I go low quickly, like from too much insulin, then I feel it. I have had a few times where I had to retest because I didn't believe the low #. But then other times, when my sugar is 50, I feel it, sweaty, confused and all that. Sometimes if I get the feeling that I am low and am too busy (at work) to check, the feeling will go away, then the low is not felt, cause I missed the warning sign, or I just chose to ignore it.
