Hello all,

I'm Jeremy, 36, very married and have been diagnosised with type 2 diabetes for 4 years now. I'm having wicked complications in my feet and hands and eyes. I have never really taken care of myself like I should. I watched the new DLife show on Sunday and I think it has inspired me to take care of me. I'm very lonely with no one to talk to about how things are going or to just listen to. My wife is wonderful but sisnce she's not a diabetic she doesn't understand. I'm hoping I can make some wonderful and lifelong friends here at this new group.

Jeremy

Welcome Jeremy. I hope you read and post with questions or comments. As you get to know the members of this group you will see that it can be a real support system for you. Try posting general comments on the "general" board.  People post daily bg readings and chatter on the type 2 board under the date... someone always starts this thread early in morning.

Jeremy,

I was diagnosed at age 32, 310 lbs starting to have tingling in my feet. I started walking in the evening. At first it was just to get the mail and back about an 1/8th of a mile.  Over the spring and summer I lost 110 lbs and longer needed medication to control my BG. Today I have gained back around 40 pounds and I made a commitment to myself to lose the weight.  I will do everything in my power to help you.  Just reach out and I will help.

I also am new. I was diagnose with type 2 almost 2 years ago. I immediately followed  Dr. order and without any medication i have been able to keep everything under control 'till Christmas 07, but since then i have been going downhill. This a.m. fasting i registered 140. i don't feel well. i exercise sparodically(Mardi Gras in Venice 21,752.00 steps) but now i have been home for 3 days laying around, sick at my stomack and big headhead. I live in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy , it's is very beautiful here and just walking outdoor lifts you up. But i get moody sometimes, worrisom for nothing and well this is enough. i am glad i found you all. Yesterday i wrote you all a long letter, but the idiot i am, i messed up and it never left.
It's 10:15 in the morning here, 7 hours later than USA central time.
Ciao
Annamaria
