I'm MissKitty.  I joined this group years ago.  I posted questions regarding elevated liver enzymes.  Well, my dr has finally found the problem.  I was recently dx with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis of the Liver.  Has anyone heard of this disease?  Are there any members with this disease?

I saw you hadn't gotten any responses...I googled it, and this site looked pretty thorough, and from a reputable source.  Hope it helps!
Sorry the results did not improve on their own.  But wone a diagnosis is made, it becomes a more treatable situation.  My best friend (you may have seen me mention her) has Hep C, so I know what she deals with.  She has explored the possibility of transplant.  In fact, she sees doctors on the same transplant floor as I do.  But her case has no gotten to the point of cirrhosis, and we pray it won't.
Prayers for you, too, dear Barb!
HUGS!  sheryl

Thanks a lot.  I visited the website and it was very informative.  I understood it much better than some of the others I've read.  I was hoping someone else on the board who has this or knows of someone who has it to tell me some things they may be experiencing or anything that might be helpful to me.

Hi again, Barb~
I'm thinking that on that liver foundation site, there must be support groups to link with.  Elther that, or try MSN groups page, and see if there are any listed. Good luck!
