I am finally ready to get my hair dyed again. I have waited three months with all the roots and gray showing. My hair is now in good shape. I have been researching and found a place that uses 100% natural botanicals in the ingredients. For those of you who don't know it I am allergic to hair dyes containing PPD. My last time using a hair dye knowing I was allergic to it gave me a horrible reaction, worse than any I ever had and decided that was it finally. I can dye my hair but only with Natural products for now on. I will make my appointment for next week and get it done finally. I am also going to be brave (I think) and change my hair style and go shorter for once. Not to short but I will have them take a few inches off to start. Biting my nails as I think about all of this......LOL! |

Glad you found a natural hair coloring. I had a neighbor who had a bad reaction to hair dye and lost quite a bit of hair. Please don't forget to show us your new do. |

I removed it at your request. It was a nice picture. Thats to short for me though. Mine is below the shoulders now and I will make it just above or at the shoulders for now. |

It does us good to have a pamper session at a hair dresser. I had mine done on Thursday. Have decided not to dye all my hair now, as it's quite a nice silvery colour but had to break it up with dark brown foils on the fringe and wings. then a wee bit of fuschia on one side.
Poor husband doesn't know what to say! |

I never knew they had natural hair dyes...what a great idea! Don't fret about the cut. My hair was down to my waist 25 years ago and over the years, it got a little shorter every year. The beginning of this year it was just at my shoulders and one day I got disgusted with it and had it cut to chin length. I loved the way it felt and could not believe the compliments I got. That's when everyone kept telling me that long hair actually makes a woman look older because it tends to pull your facial features down. Well, I looked through some old photos of myself from last winter and was able to see what they were talking about. Shorter hair definietly adds a younger look to my face. Go for it, Wanda! |

Angelbear ... I started cutting mine shorter while caring for Mom -- changing diapers and cleaning ostomy pouches and such -- I've finally got mine almost one length again, I think I'd like to grow it to shoulders again. I color mine with Loreals lightest ash blonde -- what color do you use? Karen |

Barb- I know it would look better on me but when you've had long hair all your life and always got BAD haircuts from others I get very nervous doing any cutting. LOL! I will get it cut some though. Karen- I used L'oreals Medium Ash blond which made it brownish blond on me. I can't use it anymore obviously but will use something close to it when I go in most likely. |

I love my hair short for so many reasons... mostly cause it is so much cooler... and really works much better with baby fine hair... it took me about 10 years to accept that it just had to be that way... if my hair had more body and I didn't have to worry about how hot it would make me.... I would go for a chin length bob in a heartbeat... Find yourself someone you can trust and get a really good cut... let a stylist help you decide what would work well with your facial structure... good luck.... |

Hmm!I've always got the impression that I look younger with my hair long(& not because I ask them either).But I love my Mother Earth look,now.Tho Mom doesn't,she thinks I look like a hippy. As for coloring,I GIVE UP!My hair grows too fast to keep it at one color. |
