Angelbear233 ... i found your post about strivection-sd interesting ... i might give that a further look ... do you know how your friend incorporates it into her daily skin care regimin???  does she use this as a moisturizer, in place of a moisturizer??  or use strivection-sd, then moisturizer over it??  just wondering what your friend has found works best ... thanks, deb

yeah, I've seen the ads for this strivection-sd too.  Have any of you tried it yet so you can give us feeback?  I might just try it.  RE: on the dermabrasion thread where a dear diva wrote that we should just accept ourselves the way we are, well I don't think we're being vain.  I think it's a form of being good to ourselves and some of us do enjoy cosmetics and skin care regimes.  I find it a relaxing way to start or end my day.

Deb, I don't know how I missed this one, May has been a off month for me for sure. My friend applies the strivection-sd to her cleansed face first then she uses a moisturizer over it. She doesn't need to use the moisturizer she said over it but some habits are hard to break she amitted. The salesclerk said it would only inhance the moisture in her skin which is good.

BeADiva-  I agree with you totally Bonnie. We all need to do whats right for us. I for one loving reading about and trying new products. I haven't bought the strivection-sd  yet but am happy with my skin now and what I do. Perhaps that will be my next new one to try, you never know with me. LOL!

Good Morning Ladies,
I have a question, are any of you getting creepy eyelids.....all of a sudden, on one eye I'm getting more wrinkles on the upper lid.....I think I could use an "eye job", but don't want to have one yet......I've tried everything and even work for a dermatologist who said the eye creams don't work, just to use Vaseline.....well......I find Vaseline too heavy.
I've also been told that even surgery won't erase the fine wrinkles on the upper lid....does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

I disagree with your dermatologist employer entirely. I have seen the difference in myself over the years and in a very good friend of mine.  I read a lot online and know the creams do work. The thing is, its trial and error. What works for one may react differently on another so you have to have patience and find the right one. The nice thing about it is if you keep receipts the stores will take back your products if you aren't happy with one or know it isn't working. I give a product 3 to 4 weeks and if there is no signs I return it. That was in the past. I have a product I swear by now and I still will try new products but always keep my faithful one. L'Oreal Wrinkle Decrease. I have followed L'Oreal over the years and change to their newer improved products when they come out. They have a formula that works for me. I tried to switch to others over time but noticed my eyes would start to "sag" a bit and when I returned to L'Oreal it corrected the problem . It does work. You have to use the products though faithfully. My DH also will test products for me so I know what is in it and how much percentage of this and that is actually there. You need to be able to bypass the marketing ploys and get to the ingredients. So many things on the market have only ingreds. that will moisturize and keep the UV's off your skin which isn't all you need for anti-aging.  Good luck.   Angelbear

Wanda--I'm so glad you updated us on your L'Oreal products.  I was wondering if you were still using them or had switched.

Master Your Mascara
Resist the temptation to pump the wand into the tube. You won't get more mascara on the wand, but you will drive air into the tube, and that will dry out the mascara. Pull out the wand and look for clumps on the end, and wipe them off with a tissue. Then line up the wand under your top lash line. Wiggle the wand back and forth as you pull it up through your lashes. Skip your lower lashes. I also run mine under hot water every so often to clean it well.

I have what my sister calls muppet lips-barley their so i would love to have bigger ones.I found a lipstick line called Rimmel Volume. It kind of tingles when you put it on but it does puff out muppet lips a little bit.

Redhead--I recently bought the Rimmel Volume Boost also.  I do like that product and best of all--it's inexpensive!  My favorite of all the lip products I have right now, though is Sally Hansen Diamond Lip Treatment.  It's a gloss and it makes my thin top lip look fuller.  It also smells wonderful and feels decadent to wear.

My Mom has asked me what she could use for her lips that are very thin now. I will tell her about both of these. Thanks!

I read the following and wanted to pass it on.

Strawberries for white teeth
The juice or pulp of strawberries contains Malic Acid which serves as an astringent and can lighten surface stains.  Apples and Pineapple work the same way.

Milk for the bath or spritz on face
Milk is rich in proteins, vitamins, amino acids and minerals. The special property of milk protein has unique characteristics to soothe, hydrate and calm. The lactose in milk also helps promote cell turnover for smoother skin.  A few cups of milk, especially goat's milk, can be used with a bath, or as a rinse for the hair or spritz on the face.
Hemorrhoid Cream for Wrinkles
Use hemmorhoid cream under the eyes to reduce puffiness and wrinkles. These creams contain an active ingredient known to temporarily tighten the skin on the area applied, which can reduce puffiness and the appearance of lines. This is okay as a quick fix for a night out; however, as the cream wears off, so does the effects.

Olive Oil for Nails and Cuticles
Soak nails in olive oil to keep your cuticles and  hands soft. Olive oil is rich in fatty acids, specifically, Omega-9.  It also contains Vitamin E and K.  All these ingredients work to nourish the nail, as well as provide a protective barrier. Olive oil is a great treatment for hair and skin as well.
