COPYWRITE VIOLATIONS
Using text, music or graphics without permission is a violation of copywrite laws. The creator of these are the owner of them and it is against the law to use this material without the owners permission. Disney and Warner Bros. for example are serious about their copywrites, so is MSN in enforcing this issue. If its a cartoon character, anything seen in the public eye you recogonize, you can be assured they are copyright. Usually on a site there will be a "terms of use", that will explain exactly what you can do with the material on their site. It will also give you the information on how to contact the owner should you need permission to use what is on their site. The little © next to something does not have to be there for it to be copywrited material. Altering material that you have copied does not make you the owner of that material. |
