Cos not everyone agrees with that statement. Plus the media won't allow us to forget all the different products to get that so called perfect figure/skin etc

Interesting question. One of my favorite sayings has always been "You can't judge a book by looking at it's cover". How sad that ours is a society that does just that.   They had a program on TV this week that looked at how society treats beautiful people.  They're allowed to go go the front of the line, get helped before others, get chosen for jobs over less attractive people  and overall are definitely treated with privilege.  I think it's sad that we put so much value in the way people look.

all the bullsh-- from the media, and magazines, they make ppl that growing older, being a little overweight is a disease..and ppl fall for it..that's why there r some many products out there...wrinkle goo, diets, etc...
i have a friend that is constantly getting something fixed...i told her if she gets 1 more face lift, she can wear her ass for a hat..

Lol Jacki!I love the different comments about excessive plastic surgery.
Yes,the media has REALLY brainwashed ppl,aka you're not worthy if you don't walk or look like a supermodel.I believe that real beauty can radiate from within,no matter how a person looks on the outside. That outside beauty can fade or be destroyed,it's a law of nature.

I guess its all in "the eyes of the beholder."  I tend to call people beautiful or ugly from their character and personality

I agree with all your comments on how the public perceives women and the benefits the "beautiful" ones get for their looks only. Its not right.

Jacki-  LOL!!!

I have to agree with Jacki -- the media and it's celebrium attitude has the stars, models, our children and  ourselves thinking we have to be something half of us couldn't give a crap about. I mean who cleans the house with make-up on, certainly not me, it would me down round my bellybutton before I was done.
