I know how you feel. My friend Henry ( who's garden is included in garden tours) tells everyone if I had a rock garden, the ROCKS  would die.

He's right.

I know how excited you are about the seeds. I cut the bottom off of a sweet potato last week and put it in a little bowl with some water to see if it would grow and it's actually growing leaves! I'm excited! My husband called it my science project. It's the little things that make us smile...

There is something exciting about growing plants/flowers from seeds.  It's almost like seeing life bloom!

Magnolia....my grandmother used to do that with a sweet potato and it made the prettiest vine behind her kitchen sink by the window.  I had forgotten about doing that.

Gsees....the only thing I've ever grown from birdseed is grass sprouts.  I used to put birdfeeders outside around my flower beds but then wild grass would sprout up and I'd have to weed the flower beds more often.  I know there are some birdseeds that doesn't do that but I always move my feeders back from the beds now.

One of the things I love is seeing an odd flower pop up like a sunflower, where a bird has dropped one of the seeds in their flight.  Sometimes nature gives us beautiful surprises.
