Every Spring I go to clean out my BBQ and there it sits, a beehive inside. I shut the lid quick and ran for my bug spray. The beehives are interesting looking. Have you ever really noticed how its made?

My father smoked out a beehive outside my room,  when I was a teen.
It smoked and yellowed all my  clothes and ruined my collection of Storybook dolls.

Had some living in the garden mulch. I went to weed & almost got stung. One of the neighbors had a swarm in her tree.

I do not get beehives out here in Nevada but I sure do have lots of wasps building nests under the eaves of the house and under the porch steps.  I have a reaction to them so I have to wait until "Liver" gets into the mood of becoming an exterminator

Our local council has bee or wasp externinators who come for free to either eradicate or remove the nest.

We usually get the wasps. As for noticing how the nest is built,I DON'T GET THAT CLOSE!Lol!
But I really envy those ppl who're BRAVE enough to be Beekeepers.I think a person could make good money selling fresh honey & beeswax candles.(at least here in the South)
