That is the first time I have ever had a rose grow in a pot. I've always had a rose garden for mine. The stocks are very healthy and I have seen no diference from the pot or ground growing it so far.
DH built me an archway when we moved into the house we live in, so that we could train roses to grow over it. With the drought and the blistering heat of last Summer I'm amazed that the bushes survived. A couple of weekends ago, I deadheaded the roses, and cut off dead branches. I'm no gardener, but I'm thrilled to see new life and loads of buds again, so maybe my efforts paid off.
