DH was poking through all the veggie leaves and found 5 tomatoes that were hiding! LOL! They smell so wonderful. Now if the other tomatoes would just turn red! We have so many of them already in waiting. |

Yea!!! Now I have to go see if mine are ready. Did they taste good? Bet the did. Once they start there is no stoping them. LOL Enjoy. I'm off to check mine. |

Is there anything more luscious than vine ripened tomatoes from your own garden?????? sounds like you are doing very well with your garden, Angelbear....! I can just imagine the anticipation.....seeing all those green tomatoes! Around here a lot of people eat green tomatoes, too....they bread and fry them....and there are several kinds of relishes, etc...that they use them in which are pretty good. |

When we picked them I had the stem left on so I could smell it even more. LOL! There is definitely nothing like eating garden tomatoes. We're already talking about expanding and doing more with the next planting season. LOL! This is great! Angelbear |

I'm happy for you Angelbear, I know when my first tomatoes turned red over a month ago, I was like a new mommy whith her sweet babies. It has been so hot and rainy here that the tomatoes and squash come in after the rain so we don't get much all at once but after each rain we get enough for salads and for me to make the salsa grandma and dilly sent in another post. Dh will eat he cherry tomatoes right off the vine. FBR |

It makes me soooo sad  to hear everyone talk about their vegetable gardens. I had a huge on in the old house and this house has a small plot (enough for me) but because I was so busy in May and June I didn't get to plant anything and I really do miss it. I can enjoy yours though. I told my daughter to put a gun to my head next spring so I can enjoy the fruits of a garden come next year. Enjoy everyone. Becky |
