For those that are yearning for some spring here is a simple way to have it in your home.
In the super markets this time of year are pots of daffodils, crocus, hyacinths and tulips they aren't expensive and a few pots will go a long way...... Get a container large enough for your garden (you don't need to by potting soil for there is no planting) it should be able to hold four or five maybe even six or seven. (odd numbers are best) Now take the potted plants that you bought and just set them in the pot (one that doesn't have a hole in the bottom of it) in an arrangement that you like. If your pot is to tall add some empty pots turned upside down to bring them up to the hight that you want them to be. Water your plants well then put some moss around the edges to make it look nice and to hide the pots of the plants. There you go a wonderful spring garden for the house and the smells are heavenly. All you have to do is keep them watered. You can do this all year round with other blooming plants that you find in the store too. When the flowers have done blooming take your pots set them out in a unheated room or garage when spring breaks take and plant them in your yard. You will have flowers in your garden next year. Here is that list of flowers you can use.
Azalea         Daffodil          Crocus         Hyacinths
Iris              Pansies
and any other flower that takes your fancy. Have fun with it.
Dilly

Sounds good Dilly and just what we need at this time of year.  I think I will look into this very soon.  Thanks for the tip.  Laureen

Hey Dilly.  I haven't done much gardening too date with working and all before.  I went to a place today to ask them what to do to get something started and I got a grower started kit, some potting & seeding mix and some delphinium, Columbine and snapdragon seeds.  Would love to see some spring starting in my house and then looking forward to moving them out to the garden when the time is right.  Will probably get them going in the next few days.  Thanks for your inspiration.  Laureen

Laureen:  That sounds wonderful. I have started my impatiens and tomatoes this week. Have fun. Let me know how they go and if you need any help I'll be here.
Dilly
