This is an interesting article about how DBS was used to help restore awareness in a man that was minimally conscious for the last 6 years. It is amazing to me to read about all the different things that DBS is being used for today; especially considering that I had to get special approval less than 2 years ago for my surgery |

It's fascinating! Wouldn't our ancestors just be in awe of the medical advances we have now....and like Joan said.....wonder what further advances will come in the next hundred years.... |
