My sister in law (the one we spend weekends with sometimes and New Years Eve)who lives close to us and I love to pieces told me she found out she has DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma In Situ) She is seeing all the Drs. this week and will require chemo when the surgery is over. They will remove as many as the duct glands they can and the lymph nodes as well. She has always had a mammogram each year on time and this year it showed the tumor. Her mom died from Breast cancer that moved into her lungs. When her Mom found out she had cancer it was also her FIRST mammogram ever and she was in her 70's. Thank goodness my SIL is good about getting her mammograms. I hope all of you stay up with yours each year to. Angelbear

I go in June every yr ! I do hope your sister in law will be ok !

I usually put it off until my Doc gives me the stern look & tells me it's time.Same with pap smears too.

January 31 I'm getting a mammogram AND a bone density test. I see my doctor every 3 months or so too.

I am sorry about your sister in law.I hope everything turns out well.

Thanks for the comments about my SIL. I just wanted to express the importance of mammograms. I'm amazed at sopme women that have not had them when I ask. My older sister has not had one in three years! I told her to get her butt in to the Dr.
