A friend, and one of my SIL, told me to try this because I have a sinus infection starting. Could not find a neti pot but found something similar in town today. It looks horrid but actually I feel a lot better after doing a sinus rinse this afternnoon. Has anyone else tried this? adair |

Adair--I use Walmart's Equate version of a nasal saline spray and it does a good job of opening up my head too. |

I work with a woman who uses one fairly regularly. Prior to meeting her, I had never heard of such a thing. She claims they work great. |

I am prone to sinus infections myself old Dr. Vallis wanted me to snort salt water too but there was no way he does it everyday he says. Good for him. I think I'll take looneybirds tip and go to Walmart and buy a spray next time I get hit with one of those painful infections. |

My grandfather had 3 brothers that were country doctors and salt water was the thing they always recommended for sinuses and for sore throats. Trying to snort salt water out of a spoon when I was a kid was a real turn-off. I do not think I will do a sinus rinse unless my sinuses are acting up but that is one way of getting the saline solution up your nostrils without "gag me with a spoon." |

I bought one over the summer and I used it a lot at first, not so much any more. Jus lazy, i guess., I put it out of sight, and just don't think to do it. I should, though, it does work. |

I use a sinus rinse. Rather than a pot that pours water into your nostril, this is a squeeze bottle that pushes the water into your nose and sinuses. I think it works better than the pot because the rinse gets into your clogged sinuses better. I had a sinus infection that wouldn't go away. My Otolarygologist prescribed the sinus rinse for me. It cleared up the infection. I don't use it everyday, but if I get really stuffed or my sinuses start hurting, I get it out. It's very soothing. |
