Sweetcheeks/Lucy emailed me and wanted me to pass this on.

Well I got some bad news, I have breast cancer (it was small 1.6 cm.)...I had a biopsy two weeks ago...got the news, now I have to have a lumpectomy on 7/7....then radiation for 5-7 weeks, Mon. thru Friday....they will also check my lymph nodes when I have surgery....I am praying it didn't go there...then I would have to have chemo and radiation....so we shall see then...it's been pretty scary for me...but I am keeping up my spirits...my sense of humor helps most times but the other times I am crying my head off....

Please do me a favor.......please share this with the group for a few reasons...I found this lump myself thru self exam.....I went to the dr.....had a mammogram and an ultrasound, they both showed NOTHING, nothing at all....I went back to my dr., she sent me to a breast surgeon and here I am.....So it's so important to do self breast exams as I have personally found out....tell everyone please, I am telling all my friends and family here, NO test is 100% and I know this now....

Thank you so much for thinking of me and writing.  The past few months have been eye opening for me with this, it's like hurry up and wait....have a test, wait for results, have another, wait some more, now I have to wait again......so we shall see.  I hope and pray it was only in my breast and didn't go to the lymph nodes!!

Thanks again, Please take care and say hello to all the Divas for me......

 Lucy

What courage Lucy has to think of others to warn us not to rely on technology.
Big hugs to her for the bravery and for courage over the next few weeks as well.

Lucy,

I wish you the best of luck with your lumpectomy and with the radiation treatments.  I should know in a few more days as to how the oncologist will be treating my cancer.

My deepest thoughts and well wishes are with you during this,

Lucy, my prayers, thoughts and support goes out to you.  If you ever need to talk, please feel free to contact me.  A sense of humor & positive attitude is more than half the battle.  I am 3yrs post a double mastectomy.  Stage IV inflamatory metatastic breast cancer.  I found the lump myself.  I am on lifetime chemotherapy.  Yes, one does get tired, but there are so many wonderful people to help along the way.  Ask your physician & oncologist about mixing your treatments with wholistic medicine.  My personal physician practices both, general & wholistic and together w/my oncologist, I have avoided some major side affects.  Keep your faith, and remember this:  "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  Even if is a down day, stop and count all the good things that have happened that day.  Example:  I woke up!  I spoke to my family!  I looked outside and saw a butterfly!  I can smell the rain!  I can still read a good book!  I'm one more day post biopsy or one more day post treatment!  I can appreciate a good joke!  I pulled a prank on my nurses and/or physicians today!

HUGS!!!

You were lucky to find it. Sounds like a good dr to send you to a specialist. We're here.

Sweet Lucy, you must feel all the hugs and prayers that we are all giving you. When you are feeling low, just close your eyes and feel us around you with the good Lord just holding you up. We are here for you. Thank you for thinking of us also.
(((Hugs))) to you with prayers. Pat
