I wanted to repost this here instead of posting to it under Sweetcheeks thread. Lucy, my prayers, thoughts and support goes out to you. If you ever need to talk, please feel free to contact me. A sense of humor & positive attitude is more than half the battle. I am 3yrs post a double mastectomy. Stage IV inflamatory metatastic breast cancer. I found the lump myself. I am on lifetime chemotherapy. Yes, one does get tired, but there are so many wonderful people to help along the way. Ask your physician & oncologist about mixing your treatments with wholistic medicine. My personal physician practices both, general & wholistic and together w/my oncologist, I have avoided some major side affects. Keep your faith, and remember this: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Even if is a down day, stop and count all the good things that have happened that day. Example: I woke up! I spoke to my family! I looked outside and saw a butterfly! I can smell the rain! I can still read a good book! I'm one more day post biopsy or one more day post treatment! I can appreciate a good joke! I pulled a prank on my nurses and/or physicians today! HUGS!!! Doe | |
