I've been messing around on my lap top and when I got to change my text colors the box that the colors are in is just white! Anyone have any suggestions to get it back the right way???

Are you saying you fooled around changing colors and accidently made the color white?
 
Try highlighting and see if anything shows up.  Try and go to the area you changed the color and put it back.
 
If all else fails try rebooting the laptop
