Hello my name is Cheryl and I live in the hills of WVA.... Iam able to stand on front porch and look at the bridge that connects us to Ohio... Iam 25 mins from the Pittsburgh pA home of the Steelers.. I have been married for 42 years to Irv... I have twi beautiful daughters... Jackie who is 41 and has 4 great kids.... Irv Jr who will be thirty this Friday.... He is not married no kids that I know of.... He is a Army Veterean did a year in Iraq...... I have 6 of the most smartest grandkids and 3 great........ I have three of the best sisters you could ever want and one great brother..... I love flowers and spending time with grandkids..... Iam glad to be here and can not wait to meet all of you.... hugs and love |

| HI Cheryl, Im Conilou :)...are you new too? I just signed on yesterday, still browsing the Diva site... I live in Central Cali. Hope your morning is going well. My mornings are very hectic! I just got 6 kids off to school. It started last Thurs. I have a kindergardener! She will be 5 Aug. 31. My oldest is a son who is will be 32 soon. He and his wife has blessed me with 2 beautiful grandaughters and another baby is on the way! We hope its a boy :)... I have, what I call, 3 sets of kids. My older 3 sons are grown and gone now, the youngest is 27... then I have 4 more adopted(17,17, 16 and 5), 2 boys and 2 girls. Then I have gaurdianship of my 2 little nephews, ages 9 and 12. Im very busy! as you would guess. Keeps me young some would say..?! But some times I swear it makes me older!! LOL!!! Just seems to be my lot in life to do what I do :).. kids, kids, kids!!! ;).. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself to you :)..Beautiful morning here in Cali! It has been very hot but we seem to have a break with the heat. I cant wait to meet everyone too!.. Conilou |

Cheryl- You sure have a nice size family. Nice to meet you and have you back online. I have two sons..22 and one almost 23. They both are pretty much on their own. I've been married over 27 years now to a wonderful man. |

It is nice to hear a little about you all. The closest I have been to W.Va is Washinton's Mt. Vernon Home. Conilou... I am in central Ca on the coast... The Monterey Peninsula. Isn't the housing market on a roller coaster? |

| Yes! I hear you, My 3 oldest sons are in construction. And things are good tight now. And, I ve been to Monterey on a short weekend vacation... It is a beautiful area. I was born here, then my Father joined the military when I was 11, then off we went Traveling abraod... I spent most of my teen years in Germany. Im the oldest of 5 sibs...by the way, maybe thats why I have so many kids?! Who knows!.. Ive been browsing around the threads here trying to get a mental picture of all the ladies personalities :)... Everyone so far seems to be so nice and just down to earth people. I like that :)... thats the way I am too.. Hope your afternoon goes well absolutleystumped :)And I hope Im doing this right! Hi Coni&Cheryl! I live in the great Midwest-WI to be exact....a transplant...husband was from here...here we are. I was born and raised in PA but spent most of my young adulthood in Florida-where I met my husband. I have 4 kids and 7 grandkids. I don't see much of my oldest son/wife& their 4 kids but I see my daughter's 3 little girls just about everyday. I work at a hospital...supposed to be part time but I am on call and so often work 6 or 7 days in a row! I love gardening and sewing when I have time and am signed up for a master gardners class starting in Jan/Feb. I am a happy, productive person and I do think kids keep us younger...although I may tire a bit more easily than I used to...lol! Nice to see both of you ladies here-this is a wonderful group of women...and we have one swearing parrot that you will meet sooner or later TRose |

well you did typo tight so I guess it means the same thing, lol! There is a whole lot of construction in my area since Fort Ord gave the land to the surrounding towns. There are also a lot of contrators left holding the bag since the market crashed. Did you read the Meet the Diva's? |

Hi Conilou and Cheryl, welcome to Divas. These are a great group of ladies that are very supportive. I live in Wisconsin. My husband and I were born and raised in Illinois and moved here 32 yrs ago. We use to dairy farm and now just farm now that we retired from our jobs in town. We gave our kids land so they live next door and across the road. We have one girl 40, a son 36 and a son 32. I was 8 mo. pregnant when we moved here. We have 4 grandchildren. We knew no one here and just up and said goodbye to family and took off. What an adventure. Had to learn where everything was, even the nearest grocery store. I did have a doctor ready tho. Just looked in phone book. I still go to him after 32 yrs. Enough already, just wanted to welcome you both. Pat |
