Have any of you had a microchip inserted into your dog?

Its wonderful for identification incase you lose your dog. Barney has had one for over 11 years now.

No....but I agree it is a wonderful and smart thing to do.  Our dog is a house dog and she puts her brakes on when she hits the front door until I put her leash on her.....she doesn't think she can go out without it.  Of course, she is almost 14 years old so I don't think we need to do it now.  But....if we ever get a younger dog....I will definitely do it.

I think it is a good idea but I have not done any of the critters here.....the dawg is quite old and does not go past the side of the house when I let him out and the cats are indoor cats.  It might be wise to start looking at doing them though since we never know when a brush fire will come our way.

Nope! It's a great idea as long as it doesn't hurt the pet.I've even thought of something like that for allzheimer patients.

I don't have any fur babies--only a feather baby, but I think it's a great idea.
