How many times a week do you exercise? How many times a week to you mean to exercise, but do something else instead? |

Before I got this nasty creeping crud I "did" the treadmill 4-5 times a week for 1 mile, stretch for 5 minutes and some abs. All this only took about 30 minutes and I did it after I read the paper and before I got dressed. After I got better from the creeping crud I hurt my back and have been out of commission. Funny this thread would be here at this time because tomorrow (Monday) is my target date to start again. I missed my morning routine. I feel empowered and accomplished when I start my day this way. |

Hi Angelbear, I thought I would jump in on this one. When I was 49(Im now 51), I took a good look at myself then at my 4 year old, and said to myself 'If you dont want to be called her grandma( I am a grandma too, Im not putting it down) then you had better get in good shape and maintain!'... So, I joined a local Curves and 'made' myself go 3 days a week...and ya know what? I love it!!! I get to get into shape learn different things and meet great ladies! I feel so much better. I dont need naps, have more energy, and the best part about it?.My back doesnt hurt anymore! And it feels good to have a tight 'bum' again!I was purchasing different mattresses and taking pain pills... No need anymore!... It is so easy to do. I finish in 45 minutes and Im out the door! In the first 3 months, without dieting, I lost 4 dress (went from a 14 to a 7-8)sizes and so many inches!... Cant remember where Im at now on the inches part... But I would recommend EVERY Ladie out there, that has no magor health issues, to join up and try it! Its a wonderful program and it really works! Conilou |

I just have to join in this discussion -- I don't belong to any club, not being able to drive and way to expensive for us unemployed. With bad knees, treadmills out. So, I walk alot and mow the grass, and according to Jim run my mouth too much -- Thank god it doesn't cost anything to walk .... Karen |

I have a "strider" that monitors my heart rate as well. A strider is where you stand on a exercise machine and your arms and legs go at the same time. Like walking in place. I just brought it back to Missouri with me so will be using it once I get rid of this respiratory issue I have. Kudos to all who exercise and keep it moving whatever way you do it. |
