Do you know anyone who has lost a job during 2008? Are they doing OK? |

Know but my sister lost her home in 2008 ...... He Husband has a drinking problem and she could no longer do it on her own.... Lived there 22 years..... She never aksed any of us for help... Knew nothing till to late.... She is doing great now... HUBBY gave up the bottle..... I think maybe losing the house........... |

I'm very close to the young couple that lives by us in Missouri. His Mother lost her job a year ago and recently lost her home to foreclosure. I asked my friend why didn't they tell us a head of time so we could have helped her. He said his Moms pride was to high and wouldn't allow him to ask. I don't feel pride need get in the way when it comes to losing something in such a hardship time. |

My dil just GOT a job after a several year hiatus.... due to problems.... yippee! What a difference in her mental attitude having a few coins to jingle . cheryllorraine, how sad for your sister. At least some good came from it. I guess. |

I have many freinds losing job at GM, some have taken severence pay and early retirement. And the others are busting their butts looking for anything to bring home a paycheck. Karen |

My middle brother lost his job as a manager with Marlin guns/rifles earlier this year. He finally got another position with another gun company last month and is enjoying it. |
