This has been a very emotional roller coaster ride this past week. I have taken time to read notes, but just did not have the ambition to write until now. Roz DID have a permanent feeding tube inserted on Thursday. So far, so good. She did tell her mother that if complications arise, no more will be done. I was with her on the day of the procedure and once again asked her if it was what she truly wanted. She asked me to close my eyes and be in her spot and think of why she decided to let this permanent tube be placed. WOW, what a powerful experience it was. I cried, laughed and hugged her. She is such a beautiful person. I wish you all could meet her and know why she and I have been such close friends for so many years. We nearly lost her a week ago today, and yesterday, she was up in a chair and for the second time, I heard her voice, "clearly". Tears ran down so fast, I could hardly stop them. God is using her to teach another lesson. I pray we all recognize the lesson. I repainted her fingernails and toes and her mom tells me that it's the first thing she shows everyone when they come in to see her, be it a hospital staff member or family & friends. I'm headed down to see her again today. We have raised quite a scuttle in the hospital and patient advocacy personnel departments. (For the Good of All) and I am sure we will hear more. It is a long story, but I will get to it on another time when I have the time to write more. I just want to thank all of you that have continued to pray for Roz and her family. Also for my immediate family. So far we are all holding our own by the Grace of God and again, I will write more later, time permitting. I love the DIVAS! You are all the best!! Doe |

Roz is running a fever today and her blood oxygen level keeps dropping. Medicare says she has to leave the hospital. How can they do that to a patient that needs so much more attention. Her mom is beside herself with worry. A great amount of prayers could be used today, just for emotional support especially. I'll touch back later when I can My computer got hit with lightening, even though I had a power surge on it, so I have to run to the library until the IT people are done fixing it. Love and many thanks to all of you! |

I don't understand completely why Medicare would say she has to leave the hospital under the circumstances. Do you have the hospsital social services or someone involved trying to help with this? How does her Dr. feel about discharging her? Hugs! Angelbear |
