Slow Cooker Taco Soup
1 lb. hamburger or ground turkey
1 c. chopped onions
1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 c. fresh or frozen corn kernels
8 oz. canned tomato sauce
2 (14.5 oz.) cans peeled and diced tomatoes
2 c. water
1 (4 oz.) can green chilies
1 packet taco seasoning mix
Optional:
1 c. shredded cheddar or monterey jack cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
tortillas
Brown hamburger(turkey) and drain.
Place browned meat, onions, beans, corn, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, water, chilies and taco seasoning in slow cooker. Mix to blend and cook on low setting for 8 hours.
Ladle into bowls and garnish with shredded cheese and sour cream. Server with tortillas.
