...I'd have no luck at all! Gloom, despair and agony on me!" (For those of you who remember 'Hee Haw'.)
I left for a professional conference on a Tuesday, was going to be gone until Saturday afternoon. On my drive over, I got a phone call from my bf of 25 years - her dad died that morning. The next day, I got a text message from my dd, that dh's afternoon caregiver - the one who was going to feed him dinner & put him to bed while I was away - called from the road, as her SIL died, and she was going to help her daughter. Luckily for me & dh, daughter & son stepped up & took care of dh while I was gone. Friday night, I get a phone call from my dear son - his wife was in the ER, it turns out her pregnancy was ectopic & she began hemorrhaging.
This is why I haven't posted much in the last week or so. I've been sticking pretty close to family & friends.
DIL is healing, and the doctor said that although she lost 1/2 of her fallopian tube, the other side was fine and they should still be able to have kids.
