If you wear the open back shoes you know what I'm talking about then. I wear the tennis shoes that have the backs open. I have some by Dr.Scholls and Sketcher now. Its getting hard to find the toe socks- half size socks that you wear with these. Our local stores now consider it seasonal. LOL! I found some on the internet finally. Anyone use these? |

Not me!Shoes & I just don't get along(thanks to me inheriting DGM's feet).I spend as much time being barefoot as possible.Outside I either wear flipflops or moccasins w. nice reg. crewsocks.Though I'd like to find some socks w. rubber lines on the soles(WITHOUT having to go to the hospital) |

CC- LOL! I to am barefoot more than wearing shoes. I hate my feet covered. I grew up going barefoot in Arizona and paid the price with blisters. LOL! But, when I do wear shoes i love the open back ones. |

When I was in the UK many years ago, the operating theatre staff wore clogs as they were easy to slip on and off as Babs said. They are very comfortable, until I wore them whilst pregnant with number 2 baby and badly rolled my ankle. 28yrs later it's still giving me gyp. |

I'm a barefooter myself -- if I'm inside -- I have trouble finding shoes, there buried somewhere in closet. But as the weather turns cold I wear ankle socks around the house, I've bought slippers so many times but within half-hour of having them on my feet they're sweating -- saves me from buying any ... I wear clogs 3/4's of the year, in winter wear my gym shoes. Babs ... I know what you mean, I need a wide shoe everywhere but the heels. |

Wanda--I have some toe socks (2 pair) that I bought from Wal-Mart several years ago that were made for just that purpose. They came in black and also white. They were made of a material that was thicker than pantyhose material but not as thick as regular sock material. It's more like a thin sock material. They stayed on the toes and did not slip off. Since I bought them, though, they have quit selling them at Wal-Mart and I have not found another source for them. I have found some toe "socks" that were really toe "hosiery. They are made of pantyhose material and are too thin to stay on when wearing clogs. You can find these at CVS and lots of places but I think they are more suited to open toed dress shoes, but personally, I wouldn't wear them for that purpose either. If you find any, let me know where you got them. |
