I'm sure most of you are glued to your TV. I have MSNBC running all day getting the updates of the outcome and what the states are doing. This is definitely a historic day no matter what the outcome. I know if my choice for President does not win that I will respect the decision of the people for our newly elected President. As long as there is no BS and they can solve our economies financial situation. I will tell you I am very nervous over the outcome regardless.

The machine I used had a glitch. There were a lot of people for our area. At least no paper ones.

Waiting Waiting Waiting!!  It may be tomorrow before I know.  It seems all you need is a lot of money and a good line of BS to run for  president, anymore.  So, let's pray the next 4 years will be good ones for us all.   Happy

I was very impressed by much of the rhetoric, feel it is sincere and don't think  I am naive.

I am very concern for I feel neither of them are President material. Its a money thing. I feel the USA will suffer for it and so will we.  I don't approve of anyone trying to hurt either man as what was in the papers. But I feel we will end up getting hurt in more ways than one.
Hugs Geri

I really do not think that whom ever becomes the next president can solve our financial situation.  It will take more like 4 score instead of 4 years to get our economics straightened out.

The voting is over and the speeches made, I pray now there will be change for good for every American and all our commrades in this world.
McCain's speech was very gracious and I was completely in awe the way he handle the few hecklers in the crowd.
Obama's speech was deeply meaningful -- he knows what he's inherited -- and that it  will be the biggest challenge of his life -- I pray he lives up to it.

I pray some nut doesn't liken Obama to Dr. King, and decide to do what happened to him.

I agree it will take much more than 4 yrs to turn the economy around, but good luck to the new administration.

Hi Ladies,
Well your election is all over and you have your new president.
The election coverage has been on Perth tv all day right to the end.
Both Mcain and Obama did beautiful speeches at the end didnt they.
Now you have your new president well in Jan and i hope too that nothing happens to Obama like some of the past presidents,i think he should be able to go and now do the job he said he was going to do and it is tough with the money problems etc but he should be allowed to get on with the job he has been elected to do.
The world and their leaders have been watching this historical election and globally obama was the one everyone wanted.
As it has been a long day for you all enjoy what is left of it.
Min

Well Said Min, I watched it most of the day here too in Victoria Aus. I cried when Barack gave his speech. I pray he and his family remain safe.

Yes, it was an exciting election.  I was impressed by the speeches of both parties and hope they can truly work together to move this country along to better times.  Republican or Democrat, you have to be proud that our country has progressed enough to be able to put an African American in the White House.

I think a college student voiced my feelings ALMOST accurately. He said "Now African American males will realize they can be ANYTHING they want in life".I SAY "Anybody of ANY ethnic background or sex can be ANYTHING they want in life".
And YES,I hope there's not a creep out there who would do the same thing to Obama as Dr.King.

I feel the same as you do  give obama a change, but there are so many crazy out there that I pray for his safety.   we need a change, things can't go on the way they are or we are all going down the tubs.
