I really don't know who will win this year. I like them both and want the young David to win. I'm afraid Fox TV has had enough of his Dad and it may blow it for him although he will still go far in the music world.

Although I like David Cooke best, I think they are both very talented and will have a career after the tour.  I really don't care who wins at this point because I like them both.  It is a shame about the father.

IMHO... David Cook is the most talented... but I won't be at all surprised if Archuletta wins... because little girls between the ages of 10 to 14 are the ones who text the best...

I still hope David A wins for many reasons. I truly like David A's voice better.

 

There is something about David C I just don't like. Some of it has to do with the sneaky way he got his CD's sold on Amazon while being on the show. He found a loop hole. He has performed and sold music prior to the show.

It was a good show anyhow.  I think winning is not what matters but what they do with their opportunity after.  Also who are you going to spend your money on.  I preferred David A last night but I'll be buying David C's music.  I tried buying that CD on Amazon but it had already been pulled....Dang!  I think it was out there at first because while he signed an agreement his bandmates didn't and are entitled to something after all.  Once it was pulled, I couldn't find it anywhere.  I work tonight so have to wait until tomorrow for results. 

Something occurred to me last night while watching David Cook... he did not seem to be as ON as he usually is... and I wondered if maybe he decided that he did not want to necessarily win... I kept thinking of how much better Clay Aiken did coming in second that Reuben Studdard ever has or will... how much better Daughtry has done coming in third than Taylor Hicks can even dream of doing... the males that have won over the years have really not done that well... but what Randy said last night about David Archuletta is so true... he is EXACTLY what American Idol is all about and I imagine the kind of singer that they will have the easiest time promoting and selling to a public of young teen girls... whether I like it or not... few companies are marketing to people like you and me... unless of course it is Oil of Olay, insurance or retirement homes... lol... I would never buy a David Archuletta CD... the kid is talented but not my style... but I will buy every David Cook CD that comes out...

You're right Babs. The ones who come in 2nd seem to be making it better than the winner. The past seasons prove that with the names you listed. American Idol does seem to set a stereotype person that becomes the winner. Its all politics in who can be marketed better I guess but most don't make it big. David Cook will hit it big regardless.

LOL!!! No offense to anyone but I wanted to puke so bad when they anounced D.C. name tonight. I have a habit of "reading people" as I did him while watching this season and have never liked him. He is talented but not my style of music at all. Another season over with now.

It was definitely a good show.  Enjoyed the singing and feel that Syesha will be getting some good recording contracts after singing with both Seal and with Donna Summer.

 

David Cook looked quite surprised at the announcement but I am glad to see him win.  Now, if he can overcome the male winner problem.

I was excited to be wrong too! I thought Archie was gonna take it but I am SO glad he didn't!!  For once, the ppl voted like I did!  And yep, I voted for DC.  I think he is way too young to start a major career like this but DC is the whole package.  I will definitely buy his stuff!! 

I just saw today that Clay Aikens impregnated his friend by artificial insemination. Whats up with this?? I think he has a great voice but I never really liked him. Heres the link.
