Download this:  Smitrem.exe

Save it to your desktop. (when the box comes up to run say NO then the choice comes up to save it to the desktop) Double click it to extract the contents.  Restart your computer in safe mode.  To do this, restart the computer and as it's powering up, either tap the F8 key repeatedly or hold it down.  You will land on a screen with Windows boot options.  Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to tab to safe mode and hit enter.  A whole bunch of files will load,  keep clicking the keyboard as it asks each question and tells you to push any key, then Windows will load in safe mode.  Login to the user account that is infected.

Once in safe mode, open the SmitRem folder and click on RunThis.bat to run the tool.  Follow the prompts on the screen and allow disk cleanup to complete.

After doing the above do the following to reset the restore.
Right click on MyComputer and select Properties.
Under the System Restore tab, place a check next to "Turn off System Restore on all drives".
Click apply.

Now reboot your comptuer.

After rebooting, go back in the same way, remove the check and click apply.

You should be good to go (unless you're having other problems).
