before there was Michael Jackson, there was his idol,
Jackie Wilson    (who he stole the moon walk from)

Jackie died a very tragic death.and he cannot be replaced, his voice will remain, unique in all times.

He fell on a stage, went into a coma, and stayed in this vegatative state for many years.

I'll check the chart. Meanwhile, enjoy the moves he makes..........

Jackie sings, "That's Why"

Here is the song he was singing, when he collapsed onstage:

"Lonely Teardrops"

Wilson suffered a massive heart attack while playing a Dick Clark show at the Latin Casino in Cherry Hill, New Jersey on September 29, 1975, falling head-first to the stage; he was singing "Lonely Teardrops". The blow to the head Wilson suffered left him comatose. For the next eight years and four months he was in a vegetative state until his death at age 49. Al Green, the soul singer, was one of the few artists who regularly visited a bed-ridden Jackie.

Wilson's medical costs were paid for by Elvis Presley and members of The Spinners. According to the biography, Jackie Wilson: Lonely Teardrops[4], he received a well-publicized funeral attended by approximately 1,500 relatives, friends and fans.

Turn up the speakers for this one............it's a shame there are no really good videos of Jackie's amazing performances, (I once saw  him in person at age 18).

But this one is worth listening to anyway,........because you'll NEVER hear another hit these HIGH NOTES, like Jackie Wilson die.
:" Higher & Higher" by Jackie Wilson

It's the PERFECT Pitch & voice, a Taurus thing..........(he had a Taurus Moon, and Taurus Venus.....

The high notes are the killer.

A rare treat!........the late great Jackie Wilson, just a scant 4 years before his fall into a coma.

Singing with Chet Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis, and unlikely group,
"This Land is Your Land" ..........at the close of a TV show.

"You Better Listen to Me" a rare video of the Late Jackie Wilson

(I saw him in person, doing these moves when I was onlyh 18 yrs. old) at the old Hollywood Park, (a dive in Essex, Md.)

Watch these foot moves, this is where Michael Jackson said he learned to do the Moon Walk, from the original Jackie Wilson
