Good morning everyone!  It's down to 43 with a light breeze. Not too bad outside, but I did put on a jacket when Michael left. It was rather miserable yesterday afternoon. We didn't get any real rain, but it drizzled, and the wind was gusty. We just stayed inside.

I found us a site to move the group. It's real easy to get around in. When I get it ready, then I'll send everyone invitations. You'll have to sign up, but it's free, and I've got it set up so that you have to be approved to get in. But that way, we don't get any unwanted people. Know what I mean? Now, just getting it all set up! LOL! I started yesterday, and ran into a snag, so will have to get into the help section. It supports Photobucket, and we can have as many pages as we want - no limit. Alot of the other places I was looking at had limits. It's going to take some time to get this done, but I'll let you all know when it's ready!

Grammit - I'll be sending you an email to explain what's going on. I hope everything is going along okay for you! It's always good to see your posts. We do miss you!

Pat - I love the poem! I'll be that pork roast came out good! Like you and Kathy, I'm not a winter person. I like the Fall and Spring with the mid-range temps. Of course, we don't get much snow at all, but when we do, it's just awful.

Kathy - You were busy yesterday! Glad you could rest when you were done. We just piece around for dinner once in a while. We always have those days when we just don't know what we want.

I've got some things to get done around here this morning. You all have a great day!
Hugs, Marsha

Hello all - Just popping in for a sec.  I'll be leaving for Toronto in a few minutes for my doctor appointment.  Just got out of the shower and feel much better for it.

I invited mom up for breakfast this morning and cooked up a nice feed.  I made simple scrambled eggs, bacon, watermellon slices, hash browns and fried green tomatoes. Toast of course and coffee for them.  Tea for me.  It was good.

It is still very cold today although our temps are supposed to be climbing up a tad over the next few days.  But as for warm days, we've seen the last of them for this year I'm afraid.

So I'd best get moving.  Have a good day all and take care.

PAT

Marsha - Can't wait to see the new site!

Hello everyone. Hope that you all had a wonderful day. Mine was good. Just did a few things here , and got Caity down for a nap in time for me to watch my stories. She slept about 2 and half hours. I made spaghetti for dinner. I guess I  figured I really should cook something!! LOL..

Marsha -Brrrr, you guys were cold too. WE had 29 this morning, and such a heavy frost that i thought for awhile it was snow! But not yet, they are calling for flurries on Mon . and Tues.nights. looking forward to the new group site, that is if you all still want me as a member!! Thanks fr helping us out so much! Take care.

Pat  -- Hope your Dr. app. went well.. Hey that breakfast was missing one thing____ ME!!! LOl.. It sounded so good. Stay warm and take care.

Good morning! It's chilly this morning - around 43! There's even some frost around. I didn't see any out here, but from what they said on the weather channel, it was mostly in the outlying areas. It's supposed to get up to about 70 this afternoon, so it'll be really nice!

I don't have a whole lot planned for today.

Pat - I hope your doctor's appointment went well, and that you had a safe trip there and back home. Your breakfast sounds yummy!

Kathy - Of course we want you as a member at the new site! You know, I've been rather surprised that I haven't heard from anyone but those of us that post regularly. I'd much rather have a small intimate group than one with so many members that you just can't keep up with them.
I love spaghetti! But, Michael wanted hamburgers last night. LOL! I didn't have any ground beef thawed, so we went up to Braums and got some. They make the best burgers! Their shakes are made with REAL ice cream - not these ice cream mixes that so many places use now. Of course, when we brought the burgers home, I had to share some of mine with Mr Boofuss! I always get bacon on mine, and he sat there and stared at me until I gave him some.

Better get going. You all have a great day!
Hugs, Marsha

Hi everyone.....
Check out the weather channel everyone.  Up there just above Erie, Pa...over the line is Jamestown.  That's us...and we are in for a lake effect snow storm!!  So, we are busy getting ready for that.  Hope we don't loose power......but most likely will as there are still so many leaves on the trees.  An early snowstorm here is not good.  We were really hoping it would hold off till after Halloween as we usually get a couple wind storms first that will take the leaves.
Allie and I took Poot to preschool yesterday.  He made a pumpkin to go on the fridge.  Connie is having the "financial" talk with them today so I will pick up Poot to come here for a few hours.  There is no way Allie and J can stay in that apartment.  They are just getting deeper and deeper into debt....but we'll see what we can figure out.  J's car is a hunk of junk.......and I DO mean junk.  All this move did was bring J and his bills back into the picture.  Well, it has taught Allie about "landlords" and climbing stairs, and that now she still has no money...no help...and still the same amount of work.....if not more.  We'll see what we can work out.
The boys go to "daddy's house" this weekend.  Bud and Chet are holding their own so far.  Got to get back to work.
I think it is really mean that msn is taking the groups away.  Not sure if I can get used to a new format or not.
Have a good day everyone.......
Grammit

Good morning all - Just tip-toeing in to say hey!  My appointment yesterday was good.  He wants me to have another chest x-ray and abdominal scan just to make sure but he says he doesn't expect to have to see me ever again!  (yippee!)  He tells me that I am a medical miracle because he only gave me 30% chance of surgery recovery and then far less of keeping my cancer in remission for the next few years.  The fact that I have fought it off for so long is a miracle according to him.

He does still want me to continue my pills for one more year.  I was hoping to finally drop that one off my list.  Oh well, next year I guess.  I spend so much for prescriptions as it is.

This morning I took mom in for her fasting blood work.  (Or so I thought)  We get there only to find that she was feeling a bit hungry last night about 12:30 so she decided to have a slice of bread!  She figured that wouldn't hurt anything.  DUH!!  They did her blood work anyway but put a note on it saying that it was not a fasting test. She may have to repeat it after seeing her doctor next week.

So now the rest of the day is free.  I ordered my own pills and plan to do up the weekly laundry.  Then perhaps I'll do some baking.  I know mom has been wanting some good raisin bread and doesn't care for what she finds in the stores so a loaf or two of that maybe. If I'm baking bread anyway, I might as well make up a couple loaves of Red River Cereal bread too.  Both mom and Jim love that especially toasted.  Of course I would have to make a cheese loaf too.  I think I may end up to my elbows in flour today!

Other than that, not much planned - a general tidy up of course, that is non-stop round here. What are the rest of you doing today?  Take care all.

PAT

Kathy - You guys sure eat a lot of spaghetti!  If you want something a bit different, buy those large macaroni shells and use your sauce mixed in with them.  Tastes pretty much the same but looks a bit different. We also use left over sauce mixed in with Kraft Dinner.  Yummy!  I called it chilironi. If you are feeling really energetic (lol) you can also use the sauce to pour into cleaned out bell peppers for baking. Or into cleaned out squash or pumpkin.

Marsha - Wow 70*?  I'd love it.  It's getting so cold here!  I don't want winter to come......

Good afternoon all. Hope you had a nice day! Mine was good, not a lot going on here, I did run out to the store while Caity napped and Bill stayed with her. (Exciting -HUH??)

Marsha - it was cold here today too. We also had frost here last night. Hope you enjoyed your day. I'm like you , I like this smaller group! WE get to know each other better that way, and I think we are more caring because of it!!  --------- LOL , I can just see Mr. Boo giving you the eye for you food last night.. Take care.

Grammit - -  It's too early for snow, but they say we may get some Mon. and Tues night.  Hope everything works out for Allie and Glad to hear Bud and Chester are holding their own!! Take care..

Pat - - - WOW, i'm  so happy the DR. app. went so well for you and he had high praise for you! GOOD GIRL!!!!!!!!  Hope you don't work to hard on that Bread today but it sounds good. I cnnot bake bread  __ I bet I've wasted 150lb. of flour over the years trying to figure it out!! LOL.. O  G-- did i say we had spaghetti yesterday??? WE had shells and sauce!! lol sorry about that, I guess I had a senior moment there, forgeting what I actually cooked and ate!! LOL.. It would also be good in peppers or squash, never thought of that, thanks for the ideas!!!  Take care,

Have a great night everyone, Hey to Ed and Gene... Kathy

Morning everyone,
The boys are at "daddy's house" this weekend, and Connie is at work.  Rain here today....gloomy.
My grandson, Brandon, got a bear a couple days ago ..... bow season.  Last night my son stopped by to show us some pictures of it.  There were three atv's and a couple trucks just across the road in the cornfield and my son went to ask what all was going on.  Well, they had shot another bear...300 lbs...with the bow and were loading it onto the truck!!  Right out in the field across from my house!  Guess that "creepy" feeling I had when I went out to the garage in the dark to get something out of the freezer was for real!  Wonder how close I was to that bear!!
The financial "talk" with Allie and J was worse than we had thought.  Not only can't J drive a car....he can't manage money, either.  Not a clue.  One bill was for the baby from a year ago.  He didn't think he owed it.  Connie showed him where he did have to pay it because it was part of his deductable for that year.  He said "Deductable??  What's that?"!  He had needed gas...no money...swiped his card anyhow....paid $40 in overdraft charges!  I said, "J...quick...give me $40!!  We'll flush that down my toilet and get rid of it right now so we won't have to worry about that the rest of the month!".  All this move got us was J and all his bills.  Allie can see now that they really don't have the money to live independently......and won't for quite some time.  Connie and I need a few days to chew on this and figure out what we are going to do.....or not.  I told Allie she'd better look for a job!.....Which, of course, will only mean more work for me, because then I'll have Poot here everyday, and I'm not sure if I can do that or not.  I have a pretty full plate as it is right now.
Well, Sammy dog wants out in the rain, so I'd better say bye for now.
Will try to check in again later.  Have a great day, everyone.
Grammit

Good morning all - Just popped in to cry on someone's shoulder today! Last night my computer started shutting itself off and rebooting. No idea why! It finally got to the point that I couldn't keep it on long enough to do anything. Now this morning, it won't turn on at all. (sigh)

I sure hope this doesn't mean that I'm gonna lose everything again! That would really be a bummer! So here I am on my Machintosh computer again, where I can't put in tags or backgrounds or even change the print size.

Jim is taking my IBM to the shop but it doesn't open until noon hour today.

I got the cheese bread and the raisin bread made yesterday. it didn't turn out too bad except for the fact that I think my yeast is getting too old. It didn't rise as much as I would have liked.

So asking forgiveness for not answering other posts today. Just too much hassle. Sorry. Take care all.

PAT

Good evening everyone, hope you all had a great day! Mine was good, had Caity til noon and then the rest of the day was my own!! I rolled Bill some cigarettes and made dinner and we did the laundry so I got all that put away! Then I tried to find a good movie, there wasnt much on , but I found "Harvey" with Jimmy Stewart in it.. It was funny. So thats about it for my day!

Grammit- O - WOW--- A BEAR that close to your house!! I bet you were freaked out!! -------- Sorry to hear about Allie's troubles. Sometimes it takes forever to grow up! You take care.

Marsha - -  Hey girl, hope you are having a nice day!  Take care.

Pat -  -  - AWWWW , I'm sorry to hear about your computer , hope they can fix it for you!! I don't know what I would do without mine!!  Have a nice evening, take care.

Well, I think I will go to pogo and play some games tonight, have a wonderful evening, hugs, Kathy

Good morning!  It's a bit warmer than it has been for the last few days, but it's not going to last. Another cold front, and another big dip in temps. LOL!

We got all our running around done yesterday morning. Then just stayed around the house for the rest of the day and took it easy. I think Michael slept most of the afternoon! I need to make some banana bread for Michael's lunches, and then maybe get some tags or something done!

Grammit - OMG! A bear that close to your house isn't good. I'm glad they caught him before he hurt someone.
Allie's got lots more growing up to do. I hope you and Connie can get it all figured out.

Pat - I hope they can get your computer fixed. It almost sounds like you picked up a Trojan or a virus of some kind. Our anti-virus programs do a good job, but every so often something seems to sneak through.

Kathy - I love "Harvey"! They don't show it often enough. But then, I just love Jimmy Stewart!
I hope you have a nice restful day today!

I guess I'd better get going so I can get things done this morning. We're going to Wal-Mart this afternoon. You all have a great day!
Hugs, Marsha

Morning everyone....
Got up early and got my bath and hair wash.  But Bud didn't make it to the bathroom in time when I got him up, so I had the bed to clean up....along with him too....
We are supposed to have rain and high wind this afternoon and snow coming in tonight and for the next three days.  Got floors to sweep and mop today, and grocery errands to run.
Bud had a fall yesterday, so we are keeping him mostly in bed for the day.  It wasn't too bad a fall...he kind of slid down the side of the bed....but getting him back up again was a treat!
Got to run.....

Good afternoon all, Just popped in to say Hi! I went to wal mart this morning, just for a few things.  I will have to go back next week to get the major things we need around here. Not a lot going on this afternoon either, nothing on tv   again, I hate when they don't put something good on  -on the weekends and then we are home and just can't find anything we want to watch, TV just isn't like it used to  be... Ahhh, for the good old days!! lol... So I guess the computer will have to entertain me for awhile!!

Marsha - We are supposed to get snow flurries tonight and for 3 more days. They are calling for high winds this afternoon and you know how that makes me feel,   --- nervous!!!  Hope you all don't get too cold down there. have fun at walmart! Take care.

Grammit - -  Hope you and Bud and Chester and the kids all have a nice afternoon! Take care..

I guess I will go see whats going on in the world on here.. have a great night all, hugs , Kathy

Good evening all - Great news!!  Jim took my computer in to get checked and it seems the power pack inside had blown.  As the computer was so new to me, they replaced it free of charge and didn't even charge me for any labor!  (Yippee)  I'm back in business! So happy!

Today was spent at a baby shower for a long time friend of my daughter Tara.  In fact, I used to baby sit this girl when she was around 8 years old.  This will be her first child.  The shower went very well and she received some great things.  People had chipped in to get her a baby swing, a change table, a stroller and a highchair all by Graco which is a very good brand name here.  Of course she also got tons of receiving blankets, clothing, and bath type things.  I gave her a memorial set of coins for this year with a teddy bear imprinted on one of the coins.  Cute.

On the drive home, Tara and I were talking about how nice the sky looked and at least it wasn't raining, when all of a sudden, the sky darkened.  Both of us noticed right away and remarked that it looked like the cloud cover has just dropped. Well it dropped alright!  It began to hail huge stones that bounced off the van like thunder! You could see it bouncing off the highway ahead of us too.  My wipers were on full and still had trouble keeping the window clear as the hail piled up under the wipers at an alarming rate.

I slowed down and concentrated on just getting us home.  I dropped Tara off at her place and only stayed for a few minutes.  By then the hail had reduced to rain and I was eager to get myself home. What a surprise that was!  The rest of my evening will just be staying warm and dry and playing on my computer.

I hope the rest of you had a good day today.  Take care all and keep safe.

PAT
