The internet has given me a new lease on life.I am the prime caregiver for my dad and for me to get on the putter is great and it helps me relax. I am divorced and been alone the past 18 years. I have three grown children aged 37,35,30 Four wonderful grandchildren. I have a dog.Jack Russell breed, and he is my great company. I have made wonderful and lasting friendships on the internet and I have been very fortunate to have met in peron some of these people. I try to live for the minute because that is all we have.

Eons ago I met a sailor in a bar and ended up marrying him andhaving eight kids. Now he is retired Navy and working at the US Consulate in Germany, I am a semi-retired writer and the eight kids are all grown, married and have kids of their own. They are scattered all over the US. Don't ask me where all the time went---one minute I was changing diapers and the next they were gone. But it was a lovely ride. We have been living in Germany for about a year now, but my husband's area of responsibility is all of Europe and Greece, Cyprus, Cairo, and Pretoria, so we have been doing a lot of traveling. I'm enjoying every minute of it! I don't quite know what is expected of me here as I've never joined a group before so I would appreciate any and all advice.

I'm 45, have been married for 27 years and have three sons,ages 24,22, and 15. The oldest left for California two years ago and I miss him terribly. He is going to school part time and working full time to make ends meet. The 22 year old is still living at home but dont see him much since he goes to school full time and works part time, so it wont be long before he's out he door. My 15 year old is a regular teenager. I dont work outside the home but do plenty in the house.My hubby just puts up with my lack of estrogen and his sons excess testosterone. I was an only child and my mom passed away two years ago and it's been lonely ever since even with a family of my own. I have to say though the two chihuahuas I got for pets have been a real blessing. They being me so much joy and laughter they're like to little kids. Hope to make new friends here. wanted to tell you a little about myself. I'm a wife and mother, a daughter with 2 boys and a son with 2 boys. I enjoy reading mysteries, thrillers.and just about any thing else with words. I do catering in our museum I sent the web site in a while back. I also just started collecting old recipes. 1800 to 1900 or so as I like to cook for the museum and use food of that era. I really am enjoying this group. I haven't got to chat much as I am an avid Braves fan and I don't like to miss a game.
They have been playing on Tuesday nites lately, and gone on to long. Meanwhile I will just contribute my little bits of poetry and jokes and what notand hope you enjoy. By the way, my husband and I are retired. He from the USPS . I retired from just a lot of different jobs. I have worked in just about anything that interested me. From restraunts, to day care. And I enjoyed them alll. Hope this get in this time.

hi i'm the mother of 2 & stepmom to 4...i have 2 beautiful grandkids..jayden&wrangler who i spend alot of time with we are expecting a 3rdone around 6/22/04...if everything goes ok it's still ify. my husband skeet & i have been married for 2yrs.we enjoy doing alot of things together until someone brings over a computer for him to work on,then i find other things to do hope to hear from all of you soon

Phyllis...one of my grandchildren named me "The Grammit" when she was little, and it stuck! I have 8 Grandchildren in all. One of my daughters and her 4 children lived with us up until last year. Now they have a home of their own. I truely do have an "Empty Nest"!!

I love to bake (unfortunately, my waistline can attest to this!) My second love is crochet. But I have tried my hand at all kinds of crafts. I alsoenjoy camping, reading, and doteing on our dog, Sammy. My addiction to flowers comes every spring and I spend a lot of time in my flower gardens. I am new to computers...lots to learn.

I am 57 and married. My husband, Buddy, had a stroke when he was 36 and is disabled and unable to talk. His brother, Chester, has lived with us for 26 years and has been such a help to us both! We acquired a dog...Sammy...whom we have spoiled rotten..about a year ago.
