Good morning!  It's raining, and rather warm. Looks like we might have some severe weather this afternoon. It might be a good evening for some nice warm beef stew.

Monica and David brought Kyle over yesterday. He's going to stay with us this week instead of going back to school in Dallas. Monica did bring alot of schoolwork for him. That way he won't fall behind. Next Monday she'll enroll him in school over in Commerce. They got quite a bit of stuff moved yesterday. Next weekend, Andrew & Tanya are going to help them move the rest of the stuff. They're hoping to get it all done in 2 pick-up loads.

So, if my posts this week are rather hurried, you'll know why! LOL! Kyle's still asleep right now, but I made a deal with him - He does schoolwork today, and I get the computer. LOLOLOL!

Pat - Our bodies always let us know when we need to get a bit of extra rest! I hope you got a good nap yesterday.
Did Jim and Terry get your bird feeders set up so the squirrels can't get in? Seems like no matter what you do, they always manage!
I do love weddings! I guess it wouldn't be right to wear the same dress to both weddings, so I'll have to go dress shopping. LOL!

Kathy - You get Bill to the doctor one way or another! He might feel fine now, but what about tomorrow? Knock him in the head and drag him into the van! LOL!

I better go get my posting done before Kyle wakes up. I'm sure he'll be hungry! You all have a great day!
Hugs, Marsha

Good morning all - It sure is cool today!  It reached freezing last night. We were hoping to work on the pond today but it's awfully cold for that kind of work.  I don't suppose its going to get any better though.  We'll have to see.  Jim says he doesn't feel great today anyway and is planning to go down for a couple of hours nap.

Tara called to tell me that Kyle has been suspended again today!  Apparently the teacher told the kids to get out their French papers and he couldn't find his.  She said it had to be in his desk and he said he already looked and it wasn't there.  She stomped over to his desk and emptied it out and sure enough, the paper was not there.  Kyle said I told you and she sent him to the office for being smart-mouthed. Someone in the office suspended him on the spot and Tara got a call to come and get him.

This teacher of his has no tolerance for him at all and seems to actively dislike him. The slightest thing sets her off.  Kyle said why do I have to go to the office? She said because you're rude and disrespectful.  The office must be getting tired of the situation because they didn't even talk to anyone about it - just suspended him. Kyle is really upset because he says he didn't even do anything this time. Tara is at the end of her rope and doesn't know what to do now.  What point is there in trying to talk to anyone at the school to get Kyle back in, when this teacher is just going to keep booting him out?

I told her to forget it and find him a different school somewhere in the area. I don't know if that will even do any good because he is 12 years old and his hormones are probably raging.  Perhaps a male teacher would be more tolerant?  I don't know. Kyle will most likely fight against a new school because all of his friends are in this one.  They seem to be the most important thing to him right now.

Any other ideas out there? Take care all and keep safe.

PAT

Marsha - Yes the guys got the 2 different feeders set up and so far, the squirrels haven't figured them out yet.  I wonder how long it will take them?  (lol)

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been in much lately.  Seems like there is always so very much to do.  I did 6 loads of wash over the weekend, plus gathered in supplies for the week's lunches and meals, etc.  Nick and I finished another great kid book...Sign of the Beaver.  I read some, he reads some.  Nick used to HATE reading...but now he loves it and can't wait to get to another chapter...and yet another BOOK!!!  I am so proud of him.  He also had his "Pyramid" project to do this past weekend.  He, Chester , and Connie worked on that and Chester took him into school today as the darn thing was too big to carry on the bus.
Bill and Ben were at their dad's house this weekend, but somehow, their dirty clothes remained here...lol..!!  Bud was a tad under the weather yesterday, but seems to be better today.  I left him stay in bed yesterday and it made for a lot of extra back and forth, but guess it was worth it because he is doing better today.
Son, Phil, got a deer.....an 8 point.  That and Brandon's doe makes two deer coming on or about Friday......so...hope we can make enough room in all the freezers!!
Allie is doing a bit better with her headache....Poot is doing better with his cold, too.
Kathy, I know just how Bill feels.  I don't have any health insurance, either.  And I don't even have a doctor outside of the heart doctor, who doesn't help with colds and such.  He just sees me every six months and renews my heart meds.
Marsha, I wish you could hear Poot...Mommy go amboo...Mommy amboo..Mommy...just over and over...lol...and his eyes are big as saucers!!  I got him a set of little trucks from Sam's Club for Christmas...and of course, one of them is an "amboo"...That is a set of six for $21, and I got him a Dorie count book and a Dorie sleep shirt.  A couple other little things, and that will have to be his Christmas from me.  I am spending too much keeping food in all of them thru the week!!  That venison my son and grandson have coming will really help out around here!!!  I have the processing to pay for, but it will help out with meals, that's for sure.  Altogether Connie and I are feeding 10 people every day...and we also watch out for my long time friend, Roy, who doesn't have much of any money himself, and is too proud to ask for any help.  We always get bread at the bread store for him, and when we bake or cook, we always have an extra dish to take to him as well.
Congratulations to Andrew and Tanya.  Yes, it sure does sound like you are going to be busy with weddings during the first part of the year!  I'm so glad Kyle is doing well, too!
Pat, that French Onion soup sure sounds like a winner!!  I have some onions called "Candy Sweets"...they are soooooo good, and so very mild!  Now that you have put this into my mind, I think I'll make some.  Of course, I won't get Bill or Nick to eat any...lol...but the rest of us sure will!  We, too have winter weather.  Everything is white out there...and they are calling for over a foot of snow by evening today.  Looking like we will get it this time, too.  I sent the kids off to school with boots on today for the first time.......guess it's finally here....!!!!  Oh, well, then might as well put on Christmas music and get some housework done.
Have a great day......
Grammit

woops....posted this under the wrong thread.....sorry....
Pat, it sounds like that teacher has it out for Kyle!  A lot of people around here are doing home school.....but I'm not sure what the deal is in Canada.  It just didn't sound like Kyle was being THAT bad...why in the world suspend him for that???
Marsha, looks as tho you will be doing schoolwork with grandkids same as me this week...lol...welcome to my world!
Sorry I posted in the wrong place...I was reading to get caught up and just posted before I even thought.....

Good afternoon or evening what it is out there!! LOL.. Hope you all had a good day. Mine was good. Caity was an angel. She went down for a nap about 1 p.m. Tracy came about 2:30 and she was still asleep!  It is very cold here today, or seems so anyway. It was 38 at one point and the wind chill was 28!! Every time we opened the door, it felt like 0* out there!!! The wind is blowing but not enough to run me out of here..lol... I guess up by Cleveland they are getting a lake effect snow storm.. They had 5 inches already in Mentor.. ! We don't have any here.

Marsha - I'm so happy to hear that Kyle isn't going back to Dallas and that Apt. with that DOG!! Hope you enjoy your time with him this week.. Take care.

Pat - - Sorry to hear about Kyle, that school needs to get some different people in it by the sounds of it. You know tho some teachers do have  favorites and then ones they pick on for one reason or another, and I don't think its right. I sure wish I knew what to tell you ,I know Boys have raging hormones too about this age and I hope Tara can figure it all out!!! TAke care..

Grammit - - - Glad to hear Nick is doing so well with his reading!   Hope Bud is feeling better!! Don't work yourself too hard and take care..

Well I am off the make some popcorn! We haven't had that in a long time!! Have a great evening. Kathy
